Terms & Conditions

General
● By signing a Mystic Paws consent form you are deemed to have read an accepted these terms and conditions.
● Mystic Paws reserves the right to update the terms and conditions and any changes will be communicated to you.
● It is the client’s responsibility to provide all necessary items for the pet’s care in the client’s absence, including: food, medication, cat litter, collars and I.D tags. Any additional supplies needed during the booking will be brought to the attention of the client, purchased and added to the bill.
● It is a legal requirement for dogs to have up to date I.D tags with the owner’s name, address, and postcode. It is advisable to also include a contact number. Failure to comply could result in a £5,000 fine. Should the client’s dog not have one, Mystic Paws will not take the dog out in public and will otherwise offer other enrichment and exercise in the client’s home.
● It is a legal requirement for cats (older than 5 months) and dogs to be microchipped. Failure to comply could result in a £500 fine. Should a cat not be microchipped, Mystic Paws will only allow the cat outside if stated as a necessity by the client. Mystic Paws will otherwise offer alternative indoor enrichment.
● Mystic Paws cannot guarantee specific visit times. Specific visit times must be requested and agreed on prior to the booking.
● Overnight stays cover a 12-16 hour period of care, usually from 5pm – 9am. Mystic Paws will communicate daily when leaving and arriving.
● Any photographs taken during the booking and sent to the client may be posted on Mystic Paws’ social media unless requested not to by the client.


Booking, Cancellation & Payment
● Bookings will only be confirmed after a meet and greet with the client and pet(s) and on receipt of a signed consent form.
● A spare key or access to a lock box is required. Keys can be handed over at the meet and greet and returned as agreed either on the last booking date or after the client arrives home. All keys held by Mystic Paws are untraceable to a client’s home locations.
● If the pet has any behavioural issues, additional meet and greets may be required before the booking, subject to a small fee.
● Bookings made during peak times such as bank holidays and seasonal holidays may be subject to an additional peak-fee charge.
● Last minute bookings, less than a week in advance, may be subject to additional charges.
● Cancellations must be made as soon as the client has knowledge that the service is no longer needed. Last minute cancellations may result in Mystic Paws rejecting future bookings.
● In the rare occurrence that Mystic Paws needs to cancel a booking, a full refund will be made if the client has made a payment.
● Payment can be made before or after the booking is complete via bank transfer or Stripe payment link. Failure to pay may result in Mystic Paws rejecting future bookings.


Liability
● Although Mystic Paws holds Public Liability insurance, it is encouraged that pets should be insured by the client.
● Mystic Paws will not be held responsible for any incurred fines as a result of the client’s pet not being microchipped or having adequate
identification.
● The client must provide a name and contact number of someone capable of making decisions for the pet(s) in case of an emergency.
● If the emergency contact is unavailable, Mystic Paws reserves the right to consult with a veterinarian and make decisions in the best interest of the animal.
● Mystic Paws will make every effort to care for the client’s pet(s) as per verbal or written agreements to the best of our ability but cannot be held liable for any loss, injury or death to a pet, or caused by a pet inside or outside of the home while in our care.
● The client is responsible for any veterinary bills whilst the pet(s) are in the care of Mystic Paws.
