F.A.Q
What services do you offer?
Mystic Paws offer cat sitting and dog sitting services including daily visits or overnight stays – plus services for any other additional pets. I am happy to discuss your pet’s needs and work together to find a suitable service. My services are outlined on the homepage with more information.
I’ve never had a pet sitter, how does it work?
After you have contacted me to request a service, I will arrange a meet and greet (free of charge) to meet yourself and your furbaby. This is so you and your pet get to meet the person who is going to be in your home. At the meet and greet I will ask about your pet’s normal routine, what they are fed and where everything is kept and I will tell you what to expect from me while your pet is in my care. It’s also the best time to ask me about anything or what concerns you have. Once we are both happy the arrangements I will confirm dates, discuss payment and either take a spare key or arrange for a handover another day.
What can I expect from your services?
Each service includes updates and pictures of yout furbaby and any information that I feel you need to know e.g any sickness or cases of hairballs in case this unusual for your pet. I try my best to get the best pictures as I know this helps put customers at ease.
I spend a minimum of 15 minutes and up to 30 minutes at each daily visit. For overnight stays I cover a 12-16 hour period at minimum e.g if I arrive at 3pm I can leave at 6am the next day. I am usually out of the house from 9am-3pm so you can expect me to be in longer with your pets.
What postcodes do you cover?
Mystic Paws’ pet sitting services is offered across Hull and primarily take bookings in the following areas: HU3 (Anlaby Road), HU5 (the Avenues and Spring Bank West, HU6, HU7 (Kingswood, Bransholme and Sutton on Hull), HU8, HU9 (Southcoates), City Centre
What if something goes wrong?
In the absolute rare event that something goes, I will immediately contact you and make a decision of care depending on the scenario e.g first aid or taking your pet to the vets. Prior to the booking I will send my T&Cs and a consent form to have written confirmation that should your pet need vetinary care you are allowing me to take that action. I will also ask for emergency personal and vet details. I am insured should anything happen (which fortunately so far I’ve never needed).
I have cameras in the house, is that okay?
I am comfortable with cameras in the house for daily visits as long as I know they are there and where they are. For overnight stays I am only comfortable with outdoor cameras. I am happy to discuss a compromise e.g leaving cameras on in the house when I am out.
How do I pay?
I prefer to take payment after the job is complete. I will send over the total cost (which will already have been quoted to you so no surprises) along with bank details (bank transfer preferred) or a link to pay online via Stripe which is a secure payment processing site. Trust goes both ways and I trust my customers to follow through with payment.
